I recently came across a great money saver (with the use my Capital One credit card) and I wanted to pass along the information. However, let me lay down a few stipulations… I know I’m treading in muddy water when I start talking credit cards:

Anyhoo, I was shopping at Payless the other day, used my Capital One credit card to pay for the transaction (psst… did you know if you’re a AAA member, you can save an additional 10% at Payless?) and all was grand. A few days later, I noticed a $5.00 credit on my statement that said: ‘Payless ShoeSource-CAPITAL ONE DEALS’ I thought, what in God’s glory is this goodness!?
Well, I did my research and Capital One Deals is available on certain cards, and the deals will be e-mailed to you each week, and also shown in the Capital One Mobile Banking App. Then all you gotta do is shop at those stores and see your savings add up. No coupons, no additional cards or codes, nada. After the purchase, a credit will appear on your account, not on the receipt. No additional fees and no gimmicks. It’s seriously as easy as that.
